1.  Attention seniors:  we will be having the following career seminars during the month of April: 
-A St. Ambrose professor will be here to discuss Physical Therapy on 4/4
-Mr. Boeve will be discussing a career in education on 4/13
-An accountant will be coming soon.
Please sign up in the school counseling office if you wish to hear these great speakers.  Don’t miss out on these awesome opportunities, sign up today.  If you have questions, see your school counselor.
2.  College Decision Day is fast approaching.  If you missed last Thursday’s homeroom or were undecided at that time, you must let your school counselor know what post-secondary school you have applied to, have accepted, and are planning to attend this fall or what military branch you have enlisted to no later than Friday, April 7th.  If you do not let your counselor know by this date, you will not be able to participate in College Decision Day on Wednesday, April 26th.
3.   Speak Up! is selling Rainbow Ribbons for $1 this week during all lunches. While you’re there, please take a moment to be a part of our Alliance Chain! If you agree that schools should be safe and supportive places for ALL students, then sign a slip and add your pledge to not use anti LGBT language or slurs and intervene if others are using those terms or their actions to harass your fellow students.
4.  National Honor Society will be holding a bake sale today and Friday after school in the commons.  Come enjoy some goodies and support Pennies for Patients!
5.  There will be a meeting for all boys that are interested in going out for the Boys Golf Team next fall on Thursday morning in Mr. Misiewicz room at 7:40.  This is for any freshman, sophomore, or junior that is interested in playing on the River King Golf team next year.  You need to attend this meeting! It is important!
6.  Leo’s Club will have a meeting this Friday at 7:30 a.m. in Mr. Carbajal’s room, room 108.  We are still taking new members, so please come and join!
7.  Attention AP Literature and Composition students: the first review session for the AP exam will be Thursday, March 30th, from 3-5 in room 221. Hope to see you there. 
8.  The River Queen track teams hosted their first outdoor meet of the season last night.  The JV Queens got second as a team and received first place finishes in the following events: Distance Medley, 4x200, Olivia Calvin in the high jump and open 200. They received second place finishes from Kaitlynn Green in the shot put, Olivia Schroeder in the open 800, Bailey Wing in the high jump, Samantha Wohlstadter in the open 200, sprint medley, and the 4x100.  Coming in 3rd was the 4x400 and Kim Powell in the discus.  The Varsity team finished 5th.  Coming home with second place finishes were the 4x200 and 4x100.  Getting third place was the sprint medley, Sarah Goldensoph in the shot put, and Samantha Wohlstadter.  Finishing in fourth was the distance medley, 4x400, Alex Laufenberg in the discus, and Tahlicia Bailey in the open 200.  The coaching staff is very proud of the effort last night and wants the girls to keep it up!
