  • We will be doing Edmentum testing January 27-31 so make sure that your computers are charged the night before, you bring your chargers to school, and be ready to go for testing.


  • The Counseling office will be giving the ASVAB on January 30th. This is a great tool for career exploration. Please contact Mr. Avise-Rouse to sign up.


  • Interested in participating in individual speech? Attend an individual speech information session TONIGHT from 6 - 6:30 p.m. OR TOMORROW from 7:30 - 8 a.m. in Mrs. Lemon-Levy's room. Please enter through the academic wing doors. Mrs. Lemon-Levy and Miss Struble will provide an overview on individual events; discuss what will happen at “auditions” later in the week; and share their expectations for the individual speech season. Questions? Ask Mrs. Lemon-Levy during the school day.


  • Girls Soccer -- open gym this week-- Today Jan. 14th at 6pm in the Wellness gym; Wednesday Jan. 15th at 6pm in Yourd gym.


  • Pride Club is planning to attend the Student Day at the Capitol with Iowa Safe Schools! They will be travelling to Des Moines and meeting lots of politicians and lawmakers. They'll advocate for themselves and try to make Iowa a better place for everybody! The event takes place on February 25th. If you are interested, please notify Rin Ciner as soon as possible. The deadline is Friday, January 17th. We hope to see you there!


  • Seniors graduating at the semester:  Don’t forget to return your computer, books, ect. to the library when you are done with them.  The computer needs to be charged enough to start up and have any stickers or writing removed from them.  If you are interested in going to Prom in May the library would also like an email address that you check regularly to send the sign-up form to. Your school email will remain active till June and the sign-up form will be sent there also. 


  • The traditional AP poster photo opp will be TOMORROW at 1:40 immediately after school. Please get down to the locker hallway by the SWing as soon as school ends. Have questions about this? Please ask an AP teacher for more information.


  • Show your teachers some appreciation of their "sweater weather" designs! Find all 28 choices outside of the library.  Choose your favorite design and vote in the library.  The teacher who's design gets the most votes will win a prize.  Voting is open until January 17th.  The winner will be announced on 1/21.


  • Pride Club will be meeting in Mrs. Ciner's room (A107) after school Today, January 14th! All are welcome! 


  • Today is the last day of “After school tutoring” for this semester.  We have staff in most of the core classes available!  Let us help you get those grades up before finals.


  • The River Queen Wrestlers competed in the 2nd annual River Queen Duals on Saturday taking 3rd. The River Queens lost a heartbreaker early to Iowa City High, but came back winning in dominating fashion against Davenport. The Queens ended their day winning a thriller against Geneseo to take home 3rd place. A great team effort all day, good job ladies! The Queens are back in action Thursday at Cascade and Friday at the first ever MAC Tournament held at Davenport West. Good luck ladies!
