Today’s Announcements:

Attention all students! This year, CMS Theatre Club is hosting a variety show! Sign-up forms are in the cafeteria and near the music hallway and we will have an informational meet-and-greet Friday, November 10th, immediately after school until 5pm in the 8th grade black team pod. This is for anyone interested in being involved behind the scenes or performing on stage!

Tomorrow, November 9th is the last day for the Treats 4 Troops Candy Collection! It's a tight race between a few homerooms. In total, we have brought in more than 3,200 ounces of candy. That's over 200 pounds of candy!! Great job CMS!

8th graders, if you'd like to honor a Veteran family member, please invite them to join you on November 10th at our Veterans Day Breakfast! Leos Club will be hosting 7:30-8:30. Ask your Red or Black Team leader for a flier!

Are you interested in playing softball next spring and summer? We have a softball opportunity for all 7th and 8th graders born in 2009 or 2010! If you are interested in learning more, please go to room 817, Ms. Kenney's room during RTI to sign up.

The 7th grade girls basketball team won both basketball games against Bettendorf last night. They won the A game 21-19. Cambyl S. had 11 points and Lilly S. added 5 points. Great all around team defense was the key to the win. CMS also won the B game 18-10. Bryn W. and Madisen D. each had 3 baskets. Karla was a rebounding machine out there!  Great win!

Last night the 8th grade girls traveled to Bettendorf to start their season. At the end of the 1st quarter we were down 1 and bounced back to winning by 1 at half. The girls came out in the second half ready to play, eager to win the game 43-29. There was a lot of great movement, passing, assists, and aggression played by all. Leading scorers were Jhay G. with 29, Alli H. with 8, and Liv L. with 6. Leading rebounders were Liv L. and Arra G.. Queens take on Dewitt Thursday.

The Wrestling team traveled to North Scott last night. Our wrestlers worked hard at their first meet of the season.
