Today’s Announcements:
The Weight Lifting Club meets on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:45 to 4:10p.m,. Students who are interested in joining the club please speak with Mr. Hall. Students who previously participated in sports this year only need to speak with their parents to fill out the required paperwork. Weight lifting is a fun and healthy way to relieve stress , stay healthy, and meet positive peers. All students are welcome to join. Come and get pumped.
The Dodgeball Tournament is this week! All you need is 5 people, both boys and girls, and just $3 each! Choose a team name, collect the money together, and start thinking about how you're going to show your team spirit on Friday!
The 7th grade girls basketball team beat Davenport Wood on Thursday to improve to 8-2. Audry G had a great all around game with 8 points 15 rebounds and 7 blocked shots. Lilly S scored 7 points while Tenley C scored 7 points. The 7th grade girls play their last game of the year at North Scott. The B team has a chance to finish the season undefeated tonight. Good luck Girls.
The 8th grade girls had two victories last week versus Davenport Sudlow and Davenport Wood. Great team victories. The girls came to play. Leading scores have been Jhay G, Alli H, and Lilly H. Arra G has stepped up the last two guys with 9 points and a total of 17 rebounds- she is a rebounding machine. Hustlers of the game were Kassidy E and Phoebe L. Ra'Niyah B worked hard on her dribbling and cross over skills. Dorianna H playing well and staying aggressive. Molly S came in at crucial times and stepped up. Maggie H being aggressive on the defense side and not giving up on shooting the ball. Liv L working on her post skills and using them in a game. Addison C being aggressive taking the ball to the hoop. Aliana C used her speed to advantage, taking the ball to the hoop and playing good defense. You keep working hard and continue to grow. Play together!! Let's finish the season strong tonight against North Scott at home!!
Tonight, girls basketball takes to the court against North Scott. 8th grade is home at 4:15, 7th grade is away. Dismissal at 2:30, bus leaves at 2:45.
