The Fresh/Soph football team won an exciting game Friday night 28-14! The boys played very hard and put together a great performance. Stand out performances came from, Brody Harrington, Damarius Robinson, Maddux Cooley and Konnor Schroeder. Great job boys, way to end the year!

The Queens were led by many seniors who wouldn't give up and decided to leave everything on the court. Mia Tubbs totaled her second triple-double of the season by terminating 21 kills, digging 15 attacks, and dished out 10 assists. Tubbs attacked at a near 200% clip. Alex Tucker recorded a double-double with 23 assists and 11 digs. The defense was scrappy as Julia Suessmith (aka Gumby) and Quinn Nielsen dug up 14 and 11 digs, respectively. Tucker, Haley Rowden, and Suessmith anchored the back row with 2.00, 1.87, and 1.84 passer rating.on a 3.0 scale. Thanks to those who traveled to DeWitt and we hope to see you at North Scott on Thursday night at 7:00pm. TIckets must be purchased online.

Your River Queen Swimmers competed in the Morrison Reverse Order Invitational last night. The Queens took 2nd place as a team despite being outnumbered and not competing in all of the events. Placing well for the Queens were: Huizenga, Brisch, Kaup, Klinkhammer in the 400 Free and 200 Free Relays, Huizenga-100 Breast, Kaup-100 Back, Perez in the 50 and 100 Free, Brisch 200 Ind. Medley, and Perez, Kaup, Srp and Klinkhammer in the 200 Medley Relay. Your Queens will be competing Sat Oct. 28th in the Muscatine JV Invite and Sat Nov. 4th at the States Regional meet hosted by Davenport Centrals. WISH THE QUEENS GOOD LUCK!!

Girls Swim Results for 10-10: Your River Queen Swimmers fell to Davenport Central (the MAC Swim Champs) last night. Queens had some nice performances from Klinkhammer, Brisch, Huizenga, Schroeder, Elmore and Perez. The Queens continued to get a few more season best from Bradley, Cagle, Srp, Kaup and Sander-Welzien. The Queens will travel to Morrison next Monday to end their regular season. If you see a Queens Swimmer today give them a HIGH FIVE! Great Job Queens!

Volleyball results for 10-10: The Queens dropped a Mississippi Athletic Conference contest Tuesday night in Yourd Gymnasium. The River Queens were led defensively by Mia Tubbs, who had a career high 22 total digs. Alex Tucker ran the show with 12 assists offensively, while Tubbs put away 8 kills from the outside. Julia Suessmith had 3 assist blocks at the net. The Queens finish the regular season on Thursday at home as they host Davenport North. Please come out and support your Seniors on Senior Night, the theme is Pink!

The CHS River Queen Volleyball Freshmen team capped off their season last night by sweeping Davenport North (25-4, 25-21) and Davenport West (25-9, 25-15). The Queens finished the season 18-5 overall. We are very excited with this group of young women and can't wait to see their continued growth on and off the court! Thank you Coach Garland for leading this team and helping our program! Congrats ladies!

CHS Event Results for 10-5-23 Girls Swimming- The River Queen swimmers were out matched by the Burlington Greyhounds last night. The Greyhounds out numbered the Queens, which was the advantage. The Queens competed very well. They continued to make improvements which led to more season bests. Queens had nice swims by Schroeder, Cagle, Huizenga, Klinkhammer, Bradley, Perez and Kaup. The Queens head to Davenport Central next Tuesday to end their dual meet season. If you see a River Queen swimmer today, tell them GOOD JOB! Cross Country- Last night the River King and Queen Cross Country team competed in the Jim Hetrick Invite in DeWitt, IA. Fresh/soph Kings were led by Jayden Krogman, Carter Dunham, Connor Roberts, and Dante Kelly. JV Kings were led by Zarek Haskell, Oliver Totten, Jacob Fedderson, and Jordan Stafford. Varsity Kings placed 13th out of 20 teams and were led by Kolton Lorion, Brian Unke, Bailey Duncan, David Peralta-Flores, and Sam Reynolds. Fresh/soph Queens were led by Riley Reynolds, Emme Jensen, and Sophia Morley. JV girls were led by Kara Klinkhammer in 10th place, Marley Cutshall, Nora Brown, and Kira Gasssman. Varsity girls placed 5th behind three ranked teams. Camryn Sattler led the way with a first place finish, Carryn Sattler placed 7th, Aubrey Rivers, Sescie Haan, Maddie Robinson, and Kirstin Bengtson rounded out the scoring. The team is back in action next week in DeWitt for the MAC Meet.
