Coan Field

Coan Field was named after William Coan Sr. and was dedicated to him for his donation of the land which the school is built on. William Coan was a private banker in Clinton in the early 20th century, a key to Clinton’s history. As a man dedicated to his town and the growth of the economy, he donated land he had acquired as a banker to the school for the construction of the high school. Find more about Mr. Coan here. The Coan field was previously named Iten Field, for the generous contribution of the land for concessions by the Iten family. Coan Field is used by Clinton High’s physical education classes, Marching Band, Football, Soccer and the Track and Field Teams.
