  • Girls Soccer -- OPEN GYM is scheduled for tonight, Wed. Dec. 11th at 6pm in Yourd gym! Please join us for girls soccer!

  • The library needs to be a quiet haven for students who need to get school work done or a quiet place to read and unwind. When coming to the library you need to have something to work on or read. And be considerate of others who are working in the library.

  • Please check the due date on your library books.  If they are overdue and you are still reading them please stop in and get them renewed, otherwise please return them so someone else can read them. If they are overdue too long they get marked as lost and a fee is added to Infinite Campus. The fee can be removed once the book gets returned but please just renew or return them before then.

  • The River Queens basketball team hosted Bettendorf last night in Yourd Gym.  The JV Queens were victorious in a very solid game on both ends.  After losing the lead late in the 4th quarter, the Queens rallied back to secure the victory behind Lilly Hankins 15 points and 7 rebounds to win 40-34 improving their record to 3-1  Also scoring for the Queens were Alli Haskell with 10 and Samantha Powell with 5 and Mady McAvoy with 4.  Kassidy Eggers added 7 boards as well and Haskell added 3 steals.  The Varsity Queens met a very quick and aggressive Bettendorf team.  The Queens came out fired up and ready having a lead early on but the Bulldog pressure was too much to handle as the young Queens struggled to score and find a groove and although had opportunities struggled to score.  Aubrey Fergurson continued her beast mode in rebounding and ended up with 15 boards with Carryn Satter and Lilly Hankins added 4 each also.  The 2-2 Queens are at North Scott on Friday and are hoping to find that groove and get back on track.

  • Last night, the River Kings basketball team traveled to Bettendorf to tangle with the Bulldogs in a MAC Conference game. The Freshmen started the night off in a close game, down at halftime by a score 27 - 20. Bettendorf started hitting their shots from outside and ended up winning by a score of 64 - 33. The Sophomore and Varsity Kings also ran into solid play by Bettendorf, and dropped their games, with the Sophs being defeated 76 - 26, and the Varsity squad dropping their contest by a score of 89 - 39. The Kings are back in action Friday night as they travel to take on the North Scott Lancers. The Sophomore Kings tipoff at 4:30pm. Come and support your CHS River Kings!!
