DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Friday April 4 2025

I Pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one Nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

  • Excellence in Academic awards are coming up on April 25th.  Please check your email for a form from Miss Melvin and respond if you will be in attendance or not. You have until April 20th to RSVP to this event.

  • Attention Juniors!  Next year we are having the first ever Spirit King and Spirit Queen.  This will entail reading daily announcements, attending events as the face of CHS, co-hosting pep rallies and some awards ceremonies, working with a faculty panel and student council to plan events, and leading the crowds at sporting events.  Sound interesting?  Want more information?  See Mr. D. Schneeberger, Mr. McEwen, Mrs. Leafgreen, Mrs. Rallie, or Ms. Bradway for an application or with any questions.  Go River Kings and Queens!

  • Remember: Today the wall connected to the old building will be demolished and for safety the kitchen & cafeteria are closed due to proximity (No lunch). We will have some grab and go options for students who need it.  There will be some space available for students to eat, but eating off campus lunch today would be helpful.

  • There will be food trucks on the east side of the building outside of door B4 in the bus lane from 11-1pm today (Mick’s Fun Foods, & The Boars Nest) for students to purchase lunch from if they want. You will need to eat outside if you purchase from the food trucks.  Boar’s Nest menu: Pulled pork nachos $12, Tenderloin meal $12, Hotdog meal $9 Cheeseburger meal $10.

  • IASAP Testing is next week. It is very important that you take these tests and try your best when taking them.  Make sure you charge your computers & bring your chargers to school.  The library will not have loaner chargers available during testing. So if you are low on power you will need to come get a loaner computer.

  • Students cannot be on electronics for any reason other than testing during ISASP sessions. So stop into the library to check out a book to read after testing if you don’t already have one.

  • ATTENTION SENIORS: Cap and gown for seniors will be distributed during lunch period Today beginning at 11:22.  Jostens will be set up on the 1st floor collaboration space near room A116 in the Academic Wing. If you have not paid for your cap and gown it is $50 and must be paid with CASH and in exact change.

  • Juniors and Seniors: Prom sign-up will be starting Today @ 3:45 pm. The form will be sent to your school email by Ms. North.  Make sure you check on your requirements in the library after you sign up and make sure your response went through. Sign-up ends on April 25 @ 3:45
