My name is JR Kuch and I am incredibly grateful to serve as the Principal of Jefferson Elementary! The 2023-2024 school year is my 17th year in education, with my first six years at the elementary level. My time was split between being an Intermediate Reading Specialist and Fifth Grade teacher. For the next nine years, I served as an Associate Principal and Head Principal of Clinton High School here in Clinton!

Our Mission, Vision, Values, and Goals bind us at Jefferson. In short, we are here to serve each and every student that comes into our building, as well as the caregivers who trust us to provide an outstanding education in a safe, warm, and welcoming environment. If you are a new family to our building, it is our pledge to make Jefferson feel like a home away from home for you and your students! We welcome everyone!

We are home to roughly 360 students in K-5th grade, and over 50 staff members to ensure they reach high levels of learning, not only academically but social-emotionally. Here are just a few of the resources and programs that we have to ensure our students are successful:

Jefferson Elementary is a Professional Learning Community outside of these supports for their academic and socio-emotional learning. This means we depend on each other to share instructional strategies and techniques to benefit all students.

We want all students at Jefferson to chase greatness and know they will be successful and it is our job as educators to ensure they all become great!
