Hands-on learning in action! CCSD 3rd graders recently built teepees with Selena from the Clinton Public Library as they launched their Native Americans unit.

Congratulations to one of our own at CCSD, Kerry Espey, on the publication of her new children’s book, Not Yet! 📚 Jefferson Elementary staff organized a special book signing to celebrate Kerry. We are so proud of her accomplishment and the inspiration she brings to our students and staff!

Favorite work-related memory response continued: "My favorite memories come from the connections built along the way: fun-filled interactions, shared laughter, and creating a learning environment where students felt acceptance, belonging, challenge and growth. There is nothing quite like witnessing a student's lightbulb moment - when something finally clicks and they recognize their own potential. I'm also deeply moved by the way families and staff consistently support students, rallying around them and helping them envision their highest possibilities. It has been an honor to work alongside fantastic educators who are incredibly passionate and compassionate about what they do. These collaborative, heartwarming successes are some of my most cherished memories."

"What makes you passionate about Clinton Schools?" response continued: "I am proud to have contributed to generations of students in a positive way, using humor and positivity to build a fun and engaging learning environment. Some of our second graders have wrapped up their Civil War unit in CKLA, and what an incredible learning journey it has been! Over the past few weeks, students explored the people, events, and big ideas that shaped this important time in our nation’s history. They asked thoughtful questions, built new vocabulary, and made connections between the past and the world we live in today. #CCSDStudents
