Welcome to the Clinton Community School District Department of Plant Services
Plant Services has a three-part mission in the education of the school children of Clinton:
To staff and operate the custodial services in the buildings occupied by the school district. This consists of the day to day cleaning, helping with the lunch program, shoveling snow and many other duties as assigned.
To assume responsibility to operate and maintain the physical properties of the school district. This encompasses the maintenance of 11 buildings (6 schools, 1 Administrative Building, 1 Transportation Office and 1 Plant Services Office) and the equipment therein, the upkeep of approximately 120 acres of grounds and to maintain an environment conducive to the educational process in the Clinton School District.
To handle supplies and equipment of the District. This includes the receiving and distribution of consumables supplies, Food Service commodities, distribution and storage of district furniture and inter-school deliveries.
The Plant Services Division accomplishes the above duties with a staff of 34 people, of which 24 are custodians, four are maintenance personnel (two general maintenance, plumber, painter), four are groundskeepers, one mail/delivery person and one director.
The personnel of Plant Services accept this charge with diligence and look upon their accomplishments with great pride. This Division is constantly aware of new technology and willing to try any new and constructive ideas with the end result being a better environment for the school children of Clinton.
