The Clinton Community School Board is in the process of setting a budget for the 2024-25 school year. Here are the tax levies of the past seven years:
2018-19 $16.852
2019-20 $16.497
2020-21 $16.734 (first year of CHS renovation tax levy assessed)
2021-22 $15.811
2022-23 $15.575
2023-24 $15.456
2024-25 $15.245 (proposed)
Notice that the CCSD tax levy will be lower for the fourth year in a row. The proposed tax levy for CCSD for next year is $1.607 lower than six years ago even with the addition of approximately $2.70 for the CHS renovation that was supported by 73.7% of CCSD voters in March of 2020. The main driver of these lower tax levies is the elimination of the special education deficit spending in the district.
The Clinton Community School District school board will continue its commitment of developing a fiscally responsible budget while offering high quality educational programming for all students that it serves.
Thank you for your support of the Clinton Community School District!
