The new construction and renovation of the Clinton High School is projected to be completed in the fall of 2026. The cafeteria sits right in the middle of all of the current and future construction as the new academic building (A-Wing) is to the east, the new theater, music department, and CTE area (S Wing) is to the south. The new administration section (B-Wing) will be to the north and the existing wellness section, pool, and Y ourd gym is to the west.
As the kitchen remains as is, the space where students and staff have lunch will change. This space is significant at this point in time as for the next several months, this space will be minimized while the rest of the construction goes on nearly all around them. Temporary walls are currently being built to act as a barrier while demolition will be taking place on the rest of the 1969 building in the near future. As the music and CTE departments settle into their new spaces that surround this new theater, construction continues and it is projected to be completed towards the end of this February.
As you can see from the picture there is much left to do, but after the high ceiling work is complete, the rest of the floor and walls can be prepared for finish work. After that will come the final work on the stage, theater seating, theater lighting, rigging and stage curtains.
