Say hello to Paul!
What you enjoy most about your role?
"I enjoy that every day presents new and different challenges. The best thing about my job is helping CCSD provide the most up to date technologies and innovations for students and staff."
Why CCSD?
"I graduated from CCSD, my three children also received their education through CCSD and my father was an educator in the district for 30+ years. I feel strongly about being a part of CCSD's legacy of providing a quality education to our community."

Let's give Mariah a warm welcome!
"In my role, I am most looking forward to partnering with teachers and leaders at all schools in our district to ensure we are fulfilling our mission to educate all students to their highest level of achievement. I am deeply passionate about collaboration and best practices in instruction, and I look forward to walking alongside our teachers and leaders to offer the support and resources necessary to provide an enriching education to all students who call Clinton Community Schools their academic home.
I intentionally sought this opportunity to lead at CCSD, as equity and inclusion are the pulse of my work as an educational leader. There is a deep sense of pride within the Clinton community, and I am honored to be a part of the narrative as we continue the momentum to help our students and families engage in the educational experience and internalize that they can learn at high levels. Through their engagement in the classrooms at Clinton Community Schools, our students can shape the future they wish to have. CCSD has dedicated, intentional educators and leaders, and I am excited to be a part of the journey as we continue to seek ways to best serve all students.
A little about me:
I grew up in Keokuk, Iowa, and in many ways, Clinton feels like home to me. I spent the first part of my career in Cedar Rapids as a high school English teacher before making my way to Dubuque to serve as an associate principal, academic innovation coordinator, and high school principal.
I am passionate about all-things outdoors and I enjoy traveling, biking, and hiking with my two lovely rescue dogs, Carleigh and Charlotte. When I'm not enjoying the outdoors, I am spending time with my family. My nephew, Gage, will be a sophomore at Iowa State, and my niece, Journie, will be a freshman at Ankeny Centennial High School. I treasure my relationship with them and support them in their various activities as often as I possibly can. As a forever English teacher at heart, I am often spending time with a good book and supporting the local library and/or independent bookstores. I also enjoy volunteering and look forward to getting connected with organizations in the Clinton community.
I am eager to meet everyone in the CCSD community, and I look forward to the valuable, rewarding work ahead!"

Say hello to Chris!
What do you enjoy most about your role?
"I strive to promote safety, efficiency, and reliability through a pro-active mindset, that is solution-oriented rather than reactive."
Why CCSD?
"The CCSD Department of Transportation is honorable. I am fortunate to work with an amazing team. I find gratification each day when the last yellow school bus delivers the last student and then returns with the fleet of other busses safely to our Bus Barn."

Say hello to Rhea!
What do you enjoy most about your role?
"I love my role because it changes every day- my days are never the same. I am able to constantly learn something new, and then apply that knowledge in unique novel situations. In my position I'm able to welcome the littlest preschool students and families, and also wave goodbye when they graduate from high school programs like Project SEARCH. I enjoy helping others, and that's the most fulfilling part. Whether it involves a staff member, parent, or child- that's the most fulfilling part- making a difference."
Why CCSD?
"We moved to Clinton from Central Iowa, specifically for my position and to be closer to family. For us, Clinton is a big city from where we were before! I have four children: Steffen, Luke, Mia, and Isaac who are involved in many activities. We love to travel, but probably our favorite thing to do is kayak on the Mississippi.
I am passionate about CCSD not only because of how dedicated our staff are, but also for the depth of our academic and extracurricular programs offered. We often have parents open enroll their children to our district because of our Talented and Gifted (TAG) or special education programs. I've had many parents comment to me over the years that their children are so welcomed by our staff- that they're treated like family. Having two children attend in the district, I've seen this first-hand myself. And I can't wait for my two to get into our high school where there are so many college credit courses offered, that they can essentially earn two years worth of college before they even graduate. CCSD has much to be proud of."

Say hello to Kayla!
What do you enjoy most about your role?
"I enjoy so many aspects of my role, but the people are at the top of my list. The Nutrition Services staff are hard-working, dedicated individuals that make my job easier. I truly love what I do and they make coming to work enjoyable."
Why CCSD?
"The kids! I love being able to serve the students in our community. Nearly 1 in 6 children in Iowa face hunger, so providing them with nutritious meals during the school day is important to me."

Say hello to Paul!
What do you enjoy most about your role?
"For me, it's the challenge of and satisfaction of providing service and care for one of our communities largest assets in our district's buildings and grounds. Everything that our department does, makes a significant difference for students, staff, or the public."
Why CCSD?
"Personally being parents of students that have come all the way from K-12 and being part of extracurricular activities at CCSD created a closer bond for me with the district. It has helped me understand why it's important to look at needs from all angles and create a good working relationship with staff to come up with solutions for the hurdles we come across."
